Trip to Stonehenge and Salisbury

Yesterday I was fortunate to visit the famous Stonehenge. It was really quite remarkable to be able to see a 5000 year old architectural structure and the mathematical genius that went behind it. Around Stonehenge are mounds that were used for burials almost 4000 years ago!

This stone is called the Heel Stone. Experts believed it was used to cast a shadow within Stonehenge by blocking out the rising sun.

The Salisbury Cathedral. Has the highest spire in England and was built in 32 years.
